UK PM fined over COVID
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak confirmed Tuesday they had paid the fixed penalties issued by the police for attending parties during the country's COVID-19 lockdown.
Parties held at Downing Street in 2020 and 2021 when strict coronavirus restrictions were in place have enraged the British public and threatened Johnson's premiership.
